The Observation Unit fills a universal need by providing a setting of care for patients not requiring an inpatient admission to receive additional diagnostic workup or therapeutic intervention beyond the scope of a typical Emergency Department visit. The growth of observation medicine has been driven by innovations in health care, an ongoing shift of patients from inpatient to outpatient settings. Observation medicine encompasses the management of appropriate patients for a timeframe of 6 to 24 hours in order to assess their need for inpatient admission or discharge them home. Relative to traditional admission, studies have shown this alternative to have several beneficial health care outcomes for our patients.
As a Clinical Support Assistant for the Outpatient Observation Unit you will provide clerical and administrative services that at times may require discretion and judgement abilities. This role provides timecard editing, scheduling, field file management and compiling compliance audits to support the service line. Excellent Excel experience and ability with generating meaningful report is required. If you have these qualification and at least 3 years Admin Assistant experience take the next step of your journey and join our amazing team.
