We seek a Radiologist Assistant at our new state-of-the-art cancer treatment center in Manhattans Upper East Side (74th St - David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care). This facility offers the highest standards of comprehensive cancer care delivered by MSK oncologists, in an environment designed to meet the unique needs of cancer patients and their families.
Work in a multimodality environment supporting Interventional and Neuro Interventional Radiologists providing patient care in a collaborative effort.
Perform and 1 st assist on a variety vascular and minimally invasive IR procedures.
Help obtain informed consent explaining the procedure to the patient or Healthcare proxy, including a description of risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up.
Review the patient's medical record to verify the appropriateness of a specific exam or procedure.
Assess risk factors that may be contraindications to the procedure.
Review outpatient procedure referrals for appropriateness and approval under the supervision of a Radiologist.
Review imaging procedures, document initial observations, and communicate findings to the collaborating Radiologist.
Assist with the education of Interventional Radiology Fellows, Residents, Radiologist Assistant students and technologists.
Work with multidisciplinary team to address patient needs/requests.
Completion of an accredited RA program with an MS in Health Science required.
ARRT certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant.
New York State Department of Health licensure.
8am-6pm Mon-Fri with a rotating day off, no weekends.
