The role you’ll contribute:
Assists in providing quality early learning, age appropriate activities and a total learning environment for the individual needs of each child. Establishes and maintains courteous, tactful and professional level of interpersonal skills. Responsible for all aspects of childcare including; curriculum, teacher / child / parent interaction, & maintaining all state rules pertaining to their age group.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
• Guards safety of children at all times
• Develops and implements age appropriate curriculum (lesson plans) and goals to meet children’s developmental needs, licensing criteria, and department philosophy
• Prepares and follows manager approved lesson plans
• Assists with maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds
• Supervises children and assists with providing clear child expectations while using appropriate strategies for behavior management
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Highschool diploma or GED
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• Two years of experience working in a childcare center
• Completion of state required childcare courses
• Associate Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, current Child Development Associate, or related field
