Job Description:
Under limited supervision and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates the implementation of Graduate Medical Education (GME) accreditation affiliation agreements, as well as Non-Hospital Based training agreements and related operational activities.
� Develops and runs reports to track rotations and identify non-hospital based rotations.
� Interacts on their behalf with DMC/GME leadership, as needed.
� Functions as an expert resource to DMC entities and GME staff regarding contract requirements, challenges/discrepancies, and interpretation related to compliance issues.
� Collaborates with internal/external Program Directors and senior staff administrators to determine contract provisions and establish training cost calculation exhibits.
� Communicates detailed results to the physician and resolves questions/concerns regarding the contract.
� Implements affiliation agreements and non-hospital based contracts and tracks reimbursement, as needed. Recommends strategies and action plans to correct identified contract operational issues.
� Maintains close communications with the DMC/WSU facilities, GME programs, appropriate committees and various management levels with regard to agreements.
� Serves as an advisor to program director physicians regarding contracting arrangements with affiliated GME programs both in state and out of state.
� Tracks and reports all rotations outside the DMC for DMC GME residents.
� Serves as back up in the absence of other departmental personnel.
Qualifications:1. Associates degree in Business or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Bachelor�s degree preferred.
2. Five years of administrative support experience in a graduate medical education office, or equivalent related experience including negotiating and/or preparing GME Affiliation and non-hospital based agreements.
3. Program/project management experience within a healthcare environment preferred.
4. Leadership experience is preferred.
