The Medical Technician (Phlebotomist) position is located within the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) within the Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), Department of Veterans Affairs, and it's surrounding Health Care Centers. The Medical Technician performs many different functions, including accession specimens into computer systems; collects, evaluates and processes patient specimens and instructs and assists patients.
