Baylor Scott and White Health Specialty Clinic - Killeen Hemingway is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join our Community Surgery Program in Killeen, TX. We are looking for a committed team player with a favorable work/ training history that is interested in developing and growing a community hospital based general surgery practice. The ideal candidate should be focused on quality, and be able to effectively collaborate with referring physicians, agencies and other professionals to provide outstanding patient care in a community based and resourced hospital setting. This community based surgical practice will have a robust tertiary and quaternary referral center (Baylor Scott & White Healthcare) as a partnership to assist with more advanced, complex and subspecialty care intensive patients.
Position Highlights
· Step into an established community practice with local surgeons helping to provide hospital coverage.
· Community based general surgery practice.
· Rapidly growing patient population with established referral patterns from primary care.
· At least three years of associated experience preferred, but will consider new graduates.
· Build upon and support an established program of excellence for general surgery.
· Academic affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine
· A tertiary/quaternary referral center partner to transfer and manage advanced, complex and subspecialty care intensive patients.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
- Where Applicable - Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her speciality or demonstrate board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
