Description
Within the Interventional Radiology section of the Department of Radiological Sciences, the Research Associate supports a range of laboratory and research activities that advance faculty led investigations. Responsibilities include performing routine laboratory procedures, assisting with animal surgeries and related experiments, preparing regulatory documentation for oversight committee submissions, and collecting, analyzing, and reporting data in accordance with established protocols. The role also provides general research, laboratory, and administrative support to assigned faculty, contributing to a collaborative and well organized research environment.
This is a 40% Limited position, which may convert to career.
Salary: $28.69 - $34.21 hourly
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Management skills to maintain and organize complex ongoing projects
Detailed knowledge of PC operating systems and all related peripherals, including but not limited to: copy/scan/printers, fax, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organizational skills that ensure efficient filling of hard and electronic files, maintaining office supplies and office equipment.
Demonstrated skill in assessing situations, anticipating problems, gathering information or data, and recommending solutions.
Working knowledge of scientific terminology and procedural formatting to prepare and edit research protocols, standard operating procedures and correspondence with speed and accuracy and using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Works effectively with coworkers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner, listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others, keeping commitments, keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier; and respecting the diversity of our work force in actions, words and deeds.
